About Me, My Book, and My Website/Blog—Foreign Languages for Everyone

My book is the story of how I learned to teach a foreign language successfully to students with learning disabilities—and how you can, too. Foreign Languages for Everyone is a practical book for teachers of elementary through college and ESL. It would also be useful for LD specialists and parents. It’s an inspiring book filled with concrete examples from my own students’ learning journals and actual classroom experiences. I wrote it to help teachers teach and students learn the joy of another language and culture—regardless of the students’ learning difficulties. I dedicated the book to one of my daughters, who learned to recognize and compensate for her own learning issues and went on to earn a graduate degree. She taught and inspired me.

Please subscribe to my website to receive my latest posts about cutting-edge materials and methods not in the book. If you email me tips or questions, I will address them in blog postings listed in the left column and indexed below by topic. Finally, please view my 40-second video, below, just to get to know me better. At the end of that video you’ll have the opportunity to view three other videos of mine as well. Thanks! — Irene
